Llachón and Amantaní are small towns located within Lake Titicaca, whose communities belong to the ethnic group of the Quechuas. Its most important economic activities are agriculture and fishing and thanks to its commercial relations with other islands they have allowed an important tourism development since this complementary activity has benefit the community.

Itinerary Detail


    At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your hotel to transfer you to the port of Puno, where you will board our motor boat and depart for the Uros floating islands (3,810 masl). After 30 minutes on the way, you will reach the famous floating islands where you can see more than 82 houses built with totora (aquatic plant), which are inhabited by indigenous people descended from one of the most famous cultures of America, who are engaged in fishing, crafts and hunting.

    After enjoying the visit to the island, we will continue sailing towards the peninsula of Llachón (3,820 masl) where we will arrive at the house of a local family where we will have lunch and with whom we will share the afternoon learning from their traditional activities.

  • Day : 2     LLACHON - AMANTANI.

    After breakfast we will make a hike to the viewpoint of the Peninsula and then we will go to the port to continue with our excursion to Amantaní Island (3,817 masl), where we will be arriving approximately at noon. After a 30-minute hike we will arrive at the house of a local family where we will have lunch and where we will settle in the room for a rest. Then we will walk to the top of the island where the Pachamama and Pachatata Inca ceremonial temples are located and where we will stay until enjoying a beautiful sunset. Then we will return to the local house to dinner and dance together with the family using their typical clothes.

  • Day : 3     AMANTANI - TAQUILE.

    After having breakfast with the local family, we will descend to the port of Amantaní to take our boat to Taquile Island (4,000 masl), and from its port we will walk approximately 45 minutes to the parade ground, where we will observe a variety of crafts made by the inhabitants. Then we will enjoy lunch together with a local family and finally we will return to the Port of Taquile to transfer to your hotel in Puno.
