Llachón is the name of a rural community located on the Capachica Peninsula, 75 km from the city of Puno. Capachica has a Qechua population of approximately 1300 inhabitants who still maintain their ancestral customs.
At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your hotel to transfer you to the port of Puno, where you will board our motor boat and depart for the Uros floating islands (3,810 masl). After 30 minutes on the way, you will reach the famous floating islands.
In this island you can see more than 82 houses built with totora (aquatic plant), which are inhabited by indigenous people descended from one of the most famous cultures of America, who are involved in fishing, crafts and hunting.
After enjoying the visit to the island, we will continue sailing towards the peninsula of Llachón (3,820 masl) where we will arrive at the house of a local family where we will have lunch and with whom we will share the afternoon learning from their traditional activities. At night we will have dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the port where you will board the boat to continue the trip to the island of Taquile, where its inhabitants live in a traditional way and where the property is considered private but the work is collective benefiting the whole community. They live in relation to the Inca principles of "not stealing, not lying, and not being lazy", customs that they have maintained for centuries. After visiting the island and interacting with its inhabitants, you will enjoy a typical buffet lunch and then leave for the port where our boat will wait four you and will take you back to your hotel in Puno.
